JSK Office — Prague, Czech Republic

How a single sculptural glass pendant was specified to soften an office built around natural oak and acoustic textile panels.

The JSK office in Prague is defined by natural tones, oak wood, and soft textiles, with suspended glass lighting specified to work alongside acoustic ceiling elements that shape the light and add visual depth without disrupting the room’s acoustics. AMA was the single fixture chosen to carry that role.

WHY AMA

AMA pendant — a hand-blown, lead-free glass form inspired by the shape of a shell protecting a pearl, measuring 17.52 inches in diameter and 24.8 inches tall
Integrated LED module — 12.6W, 2450 lumens, at 2700K and Ra90+, so color rendering stays accurate against the office’s natural oak tones
Fully dimmable via TRIAC, ELV, 0-10V, PUSH, DALI, or Casambi — compatible with whichever control system the building’s specification already runs on
Black textile suspension cable, 8.2 feet long — long enough to hang the piece at the exact height the ceiling and desk layout call for
Multiple glass finish options (bronze matte, clear matte, smoke) with a black fitting, or as a 3-piece chandelier configuration for larger rooms — the same design scaling from a single accent to a cluster

THE LESSON FOR SPECIFIERS

A workspace built around acoustic textile and natural oak needs a lighting decision that adds warmth without adding visual noise. A single sculptural glass form does that more efficiently than a run of downlights — one specified object, doing the work of shaping light, softening acoustics, and giving the room a focal point, all at once.

The best lighting for a focused workspace is the one piece in the room that isn’t trying to disappear.
